THE RESURRECTION OF A FAMILY HOUSE FROM 1925

BLAUCEL history

The history of BLAUCELbegins in 1925 with the construction of a house for the eldest son of the Ferrer family…

The Ferrers owned a farm implements store on Passeig Doctor Alemany, which was the main expansion area of Cullera at that time.

In that place they decided to build a modernist-style house with all the comforts of the time for the marriage of their eldest son, with a young woman from Bellreguard whose family was dedicated to the dressage and sale of horses from the Navarrese Pyrenees.

The young couple opened one of the best houses in Cullera, a home in which two of the young couple’s passions were never lacking: horses and the piano, which the bride learned to play as a child.

Another prominent inhabitant of this house was Juan Lafarga, son-in-law of the original owners, who was mayor of Cullera.

The current managers of BLAU began the reform and recovery of this property in 2014; In 2015, the cafeteria located on the ground floor was inaugurated, designed by Jorge Rodríguez and winner of the project award by the College of Interior Designers of Valencia in 2015.

The restoration process of this house ended in June 2021 with the opening of the accommodation located on the upper floors.
